Click here to add text.A fatal crash on Iluka Road early this morning has left a young woman losing her life and the community shaken.
Emergency services were called just after 5am after a black Hyundai left the roadway and crashed into nearby bushland. Paramedics treated the driver, a woman believed to be in her twenties, but she tragically died at the scene.
Police from the Coffs Clarence district established a crime scene shortly after arrival and have begun investigating the circumstances leading up to the crash. A report will now be prepared for the Coroner.
Iluka Road remains closed with a detour in place while officers and crash investigators continue their work. Anyone who may have witnessed the incident or has dashcam footage from the area is encouraged to contact Coffs Clarence Police District or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
