Police Investigate Death of Woman in South Grafton Home

Detectives from the Coffs/Clarence Police District have launched an investigation following the discovery of a woman’s body in a South Grafton home Yesterday.

Just before midday on Sunday, November 9, emergency services were called to a property on McNamara Avenue after reports of a concern for welfare. When officers arrived, they located the body of a woman inside the house.

Police immediately established a crime scene, which remains under examination by specialist forensic officers. Detectives have begun inquiries to determine the full circumstances surrounding the woman’s death.

The woman is believed to be in her 30s, though formal identification is yet to take place. A post-mortem examination will be conducted in the coming days to confirm her identity and determine the cause of death.

At this stage, police have not released further details about the incident or whether it is being treated as suspicious. Officers are expected to remain at the scene as investigations continue.

Residents in the area have reported a heavy police presence, with marked vehicles and investigators attending the address throughout the afternoon.
